The Ex-Students committee were delighted that 28 people could join them for a casual dinner at Cantina Centrale in Mont Albert on November 15. Our guests included former Principal Elida Brereton; President of the School Council Ngaire Burn; and Rachel Bailey, the Camberwell High School Library Manager.
Rachel accepted our annual cheques, including the Robert Ewins Memorial Fund donation of $1000 towards two literary scholarships and library books. The other cheque of $3,000 goes towards four scholarships for senior students and the Principal’s well-being fund that assists some students with their education. It was very good having Rachel speak to us. We appreciated hearing about the books that Rachel had purchased from the Robert Ewins Memorial Fund donation and the difference they are making in individual’s enjoyment of reading and learning.
