A number of memorable events occurred in 2016 as part of the school’s 75th year.
Eighty ex-students and guests enjoyed a Mid-Year luncheon at Box Hill Golf Club. Some of the members of the Canberra Chapter met with CHESS President Yvonne, and Phil Giltinan, at the National Museum. In November 110 ex-students from 1941 to 2014 gathered at Wattle Park Chalet for the 75th Gala Dinner. Former Principals Ann Rusden and Elida Brereton were guests.
Reunions were organised by various year groups. The 1st Matriculation class had their 60th reunion in Maling Road, then walked to the school. The class of 1976 met at the Tower Hotel with over 40 from their year, and the Class of 1986 had their reunion at The Geebung. Nearly 20 from the Class of ’66 attended the Gala Dinner with guests flying in from around the country.
