In 2005 a group of Ex-Students formed a “choir for the day” under the direction of Yvonne Giltinan, a former school pianist and current CHESS President. The aim was to record School of our Youth so that current students would have a copy of the song before leaving Camberwell High School. On the day of the recording, the Ex-Students not only shared memories and celebrated the fine music tradition of Camberwell High School, but they had the opportunity to pay tribute to Dr. A. E. Cameron MBE, a former music teacher who showed a keen interest in the recording.
The CD has the history of the song, the words and music, including parts for bass, alto and descent. It was recorded by Move Records and is available for purchase for only $6 which includes postage within Australia. The CD is wonderful for a stirring sing-along at reunions!
